“I love Kipp! My son was going to another public charter school before I enrolled him in Kipp. He was not challenged the way he should have been as far as the school work. Since he's been to Kipp he has excelled. He was on the honor roll for the entire 5th grade season. The teachers are wonderful they take time with the kids and they are available to them almost 24/7. Eventhough they have longer school days, my son loves to go to school. The Music program is wonderful. All 5th graders learn how to play the xylophone. The 6th 7th and 8th graders learn the violin or other string instruments. They also have a drumline that's great. The students are learning academically and the extracurricular activies are available which boost their self esteem. Parents support Kipp because Kipp support our kids. Kipp is great for the DC Community.”

“KIPP DC KEY Academy is a wonder! My daughter attends the school and recently I have enrolled my other daughter. They teach accountability, social responsibility, and maintain a friendly, yet professional rapport with the students and parents. Students are continuously encouraged to excel through a variety of programs. Saturday school is mandatory and allows the students the opportunity to take dance, music, and other co-curricular classes. My daughters are very bright, and while they were in the public schoool system I noticed it was unpopular to display their brightness; but at KIPP DC KEY, they are not only challenged, but also commended for doing a good job in the classroom. KIPP's motto is, 'Work Hard, Be Nice.' I have co-workers that could learn from this motto. KIPP DC KEY Academy has been a God-send for my family.”
